PNC-27

PNC-27 is an experimental peptide derived from a fragment of the p53 tumor suppressor protein that is designed to bind HDM-2 (also called MDM2), a protein overexpressed on the cell membrane of many cancer cell types. It has been studied exclusively in laboratory settings, including in vitro cancer cell cultures and limited animal models, with the proposed goal of selectively killing cancer cells while sparing normal cells. No completed human clinical trials, FDA approval, or established human dosing exist for PNC-27, and it is not an approved or prescribed medication. Any human use occurs outside formal clinical research and regulatory oversight, and its safety and efficacy in humans are unverified.

Reported benefits

  • Proposed selective cytotoxic activity against cancer cells in preclinical laboratory studies
  • Investigated mechanism distinct from conventional chemotherapy, potentially relevant to future research
  • Represents an active area of academic cancer-biology research

How it works

PNC-27 is designed to bind HDM-2 protein expressed on the outer membrane of cancer cells, a feature reportedly much less common on normal, non-cancerous cells. In laboratory studies, this binding has been proposed to trigger pore formation in the cancer cell membrane, leading to cell lysis and necrosis rather than the slower, more targeted process of apoptosis. Because this proposed mechanism relies on preferential HDM-2 membrane expression in cancer cells, its selectivity and effects have not been confirmed in human clinical studies.

Common questions

What is PNC-27 used for?

Reported benefits include proposed selective cytotoxic activity against cancer cells in preclinical laboratory studies, investigated mechanism distinct from conventional chemotherapy, potentially relevant to future research, represents an active area of academic cancer-biology research.

What is a typical PNC-27 dose?

Reported ranges run 250-1,000 mcg. A low protocol is 250 mcg daily (informal/unregulated use only; no established clinical dosing exists), and a high protocol is 1,000 mcg daily (informal/unregulated use only; no established clinical dosing exists). This is reference information, not a dosing recommendation.

What is the half life of PNC-27?

Not established in humans; likely short (on the order of minutes) based on its peptide size and structure, but this is unconfirmed. That is what sets the dosing frequency, and it is why the timing guidance is as directed by your clinician.

How is PNC-27 administered?

Subcutaneous: into fat, under the skin. No human clinical routes of administration have been established or approved; subcutaneous use reflects informal research-chemical practice, not a validated protocol.

How long is a PNC-27 cycle?

No established clinical protocol exists; informally reported use patterns describe courses lasting several weeks on, followed by No established or validated washout period exists off. PNC-27 has not completed human clinical trials; all available efficacy and safety data come from in vitro and limited animal studies. It is not an approved drug.

What are the side effects of PNC-27?

Reported side effects include no human safety data exist; potential risks in humans are unknown, effects observed only in vitro and in limited animal models may not translate to humans, unregulated research-chemical sourcing carries risks of impurity, mislabeling, or contamination, theoretical risk of unpredictable immune or tissue reactions given the lack of human testing. Evidence level for this compound is emerging research.
