Hexarelin

Also known as Examorelin

Hexarelin is widely regarded as the most potent synthetic growth hormone releasing peptide of the GHRP class. Beyond GH stimulation, research has examined hexarelin for cardioprotective and anti-fibrotic effects that appear to occur independent of GH release, through binding sites in cardiac tissue. It has been studied in small human trials, including in heart failure populations, as well as extensively in animal models. Because of its potency, hexarelin is commonly associated with faster reported receptor desensitization than other GHRPs when used continuously.

Reported benefits

  • Strong acute GH release
  • Cardioprotective effects reported in research
  • Improved recovery
  • Possible lean mass support

How it works

Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide with high binding affinity for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a), producing a larger acute GH pulse than most other GHRPs at comparable doses. Separately, research suggests hexarelin binds additional receptor sites in cardiac and vascular tissue, which is proposed to underlie its studied cardioprotective and anti-fibrotic effects independent of the GH axis.

Read before using

This tool produces a rough, educational estimate by scaling commonly-published research ranges to lean body mass. It is not a prescription, medical advice, or a substitute for a licensed clinician. Most peptides use fixed dosing, not weight-based dosing. Individual needs vary. You are solely responsible for how you use this information.

Common questions

What is Hexarelin used for?

Hexarelin is widely regarded as the most potent synthetic growth hormone releasing peptide of the GHRP class. Beyond GH stimulation, research has examined hexarelin for cardioprotective and anti-fibrotic effects that appear to occur independent of GH release, through binding sites in cardiac tissue. It has been studied in small human trials, including in heart failure populations, as well as extensively in animal models. Because of its potency, hexarelin is commonly associated with faster reported receptor desensitization than other GHRPs when used continuously. Reported benefits include strong acute gh release, cardioprotective effects reported in research, improved recovery.

What is a typical Hexarelin dose?

Reported ranges run 50-200 mcg. A low protocol is 50 mcg once daily, and a high protocol is 200 mcg twice daily. This is reference information, not a dosing recommendation.

What is the half life of Hexarelin?

~70 min. That is what sets the dosing frequency, and it is why the timing guidance is ~30 min before bed, empty stomach.

How is Hexarelin administered?

Subcutaneous: into fat, under the skin. Injected subcutaneously; intranasal formulations have also been studied in research settings

How long is a Hexarelin cycle?

6-8 weeks on, followed by 4-6 weeks off. Shorter cycles are commonly recommended given anecdotal reports of faster desensitization than other GHRPs

What are the side effects of Hexarelin?

Reported side effects include reported rapid receptor desensitization with prolonged use, cortisol/prolactin elevation, water retention, injection-site irritation, increased hunger. Evidence level for this compound is well studied.
